The matrix is a great and powerful visual but the formatting options are limiting especially for financial statements.
Feature 1:
In financial statements you have to have subtotal rows (like EBITDA). To highlight those rows you can work with an index and set the index number as a condition for your conditional formatting.
But this way it just applies for your values and not for the row or colomn titles.
Feature 2:
Add conditional text formatting. To have bold numbers would be a stunner.

add transperency options for the color
