Specify colors in individual data level in PowerBI custom visual filters like "Chiclet Slicer"

Hello Team,

I've a requirement to specify different colors in individual data levels in Chiclet slicers. How can I achieve this functionality? For example, in "chiclet slicer" custom control, I've six data categories & I'd require to specify different colors individually in each slicers

( like slicer - A = Red, slicer - B = blue, slicer -C = yellow") like this way.

Checked with other custom visual filtering controls as well like "attribute slicers"/"Power Slicer" but those all controls don't allow for configuring colors in individual data/slicer level.

Is there anyway to achieve this functionality?

Thanks in advance,

Anindita

Hi Anindita,

I am not sure that understood your question clearly. Could you clarify some of the moments?

-- "For example, in "chiclet slicer" custom control, I've six data categories & I'd require to specify different colors individually in each slicers"

-- What do you mean 6 data categories? As I know, Chilcet Slicer can have only 1 field in Category bucket.

There are two options, if you need functionality that isn't presented in the visual

1. Fork the visual source code, modify it, change GUID, build a package, and import it into Power BI

2. Create a detailed description of a necessery feature here and we will consider whether to add it or not into a viusal backlog.

Kind Regards,
