Power KPI Matrix: hiding second kpi status %

Am loving the Power KPI Matrix visual however i'm wanting to hide some details on the popup when mousing over on the sparkline.

The detail (as per screenshot) is the Second KPI Status +2275.63% in this example.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Hi Lorence,

I checked all the options and it is definitely impossible to hide some details from Sparklines tooltips like in a pop-up window.

To consider it as a new feature for the visual we need to understand where and how this feature can work.

I see the two ways:

1. Pop-up tooltips options might be applied for Sparklines too.

2. There might be separate options for Sparklines tooltips.

What approach is more proper?

Dear Mr. Elkin,

I am facing the same issue of getting unwanted information on the tool-tip while hover over the sparkines. IIs there is the possibility to get the seperate options of tool-tip for the sparklines?

Looking forward for your reply.

Best Regards

Ahsan

Dear Ahsan,

Unfortunately, it is known limitation of the visual and such feature request is in a visual backlog so, in one of the future releases we will implement it.

You also can modify the visual and build your own package since its repo is public. In this case you should change the visual GUID inside pbiviz.json file.

Just managed to find a solution with the help of the guidance from @v-evelk .

Simply go the the format option of the visual.

KPI Indicator Value > turn it on

Label: Remove any label

Format: Change it to #,

Turn off the KPI Indicator value.

And you will not see the KPI Status % in the tool-tip.

Cheers

Ahsan

In my context the % showing up makes no sense.

Basically i'm putting two metrics in the table view and do not require the % to be shown in the tooltip as it does atm.

from my perspective number 2. would make a lot of sense providing control over what's in the Sparklines tooltips.

Lorence

Hi Lorence,

I have added this to our feature list for the visual.

It means that we will consider it asap and it may be released in one of the next versions.
