How to insert an additional header row in a table?

I'm setting up a report in PowerBI, trying to match the formatting of an existing report, but can't see how to insert text in or over my column headers:

The header should look like:

Name | ID | Date of Birth   | Sex

     |    | dd | Mon | YYYY |     |

(where the column names are coloured)

It's simple to do this in excel, but I can't see how to do it in PowerBI.

Hi,

I think you can just use a textbox and write a custom text in there and add it in the place you were looking for. It is there in the Home --> Insert (right above image). May be that will help?

Do you mean like this, with text boxes above the table? It is hard to get the columns to line up and the borders don't match.

@Anonymous So, I guess it's not possible without writing a new visual?

Hi Colin -

I am sorry for that... yes, I believe we may need to have a custom Visual created for it or wait for PowerBI to come up with a solution later on. You can try suggesting a new idea for this one. I am sorry again for not being able to solve this for you.
