I have followed the instructions here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/power-bi-field-parameters
However, the slicer I created with the variables for race/ethnicity does not work. For example, as you can see in the screenshot, I have selected Black, but all races/ethnicities still show in my clustered column chart. How can I make this field parameter option work? Or is there another simpler way to be able to show only some of the race/ethnicities in the chart? I have been able to add slicers for choosing the locations (x-axis), but not to choose which race/ethnicities show/hide in the chart. Please help.

Hi @kaf_617
Thanks for the reply from @vicky_ , please allow me to provide another insight:
I'm using sample data in Power BI.
Unpivot Columns in Power Query by selecting the columns you need to slicer.
Close & Apply
You can then use the field as a slicer.
Output:
Best Regards,
Yulia Xu

You need to create a measure for each of the ethnicities - in the docs, this is one of the limitations at the end:
User | Count |
---|---|
84 | |
80 | |
72 | |
71 | |
55 |
User | Count |
---|---|
108 | |
106 | |
93 | |
84 | |
66 |
