Date table showing Month as blank in bar chart

I have a table with an 'Opened' Date. I've created a Date Table and set up the relationship as one to many. 

When I add the month from the Date table into a bar chart, this shows as blank.

Have you marked your Date table as a Date table? It looks like you have. e.g.

Is the Opened column data type set as a Date column e.g.

EDIT: does the range of dates in your Date table encompass the range of dates in your fact table? (I know it's obvious but....)
