analyse in excel

Hi,

I created a number of reports in Power BI with visuals and tables which I need to share with specific people but they cannot have access to the underlying data.

I understand I cannot share a Power BI visual / dashboard with people without them being able to access the underlying data.

If I select "analyse in excel" and recreate similar tables and visuals, can I share this with individuals so that they can refresh the excel file without having access to the underlying data in Power BI?

If not, I am wondering what the best way to share this data might be? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Hi @smullan

I don't think the Analyze in Excel can be used as a way to set up data refresh.

If you provide with your colleagues the "Analyze in Excel" feature, they will just be able to see the PBI data model in an Excel spreadsheet.

I think there is no more option with it.

Best Regards,

Augustin
