Table Column header Word wrap setting and column width sizing is not saved when pinned to dashboard

After you turn on the Table Column header Word wrap setting and resize column widths to display data within the space allocated and then pin the table to a dashboard, the column widths are not saved. The table is displayed without the column headers wrapping and with a default column width.

Here's the table with Word Wrap and a column with a colour status bar (resized to hide column header but display colour as a work around for number formatting limitation).

Here's the pic of the table pinned on the dashboard. Column headers have unwrapped.

Thanks.

Hi @achishti,

I can't reproduce the issue on my side.

In your scenario, please try the below tips:

1. Please create a report in latest Power BI desktop version then republish it to service, test again.

2.  Please save the resizing column width setting before pin to a dashboard.

3. Please try our test pbix file and pin the table visual to your dashboard to see if the same issue happens.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I was able to duplicate your results. It works now.

Here's what I did in case others have the same problem. You have to re-apply the table to make sure it is current and not using an "older" version (as this control has been updated (in awesome ways, keep up the great work!) over the last few months:

1. I reapplied the table visualisation by switching to some other visualisation and then switching back to the table visualisation.

2. Turned on the word wrap.

3. Reset the column widths

4. Reposted to the dashboard.

It seems that the table visualisation might have been an older version even though the PowerBI desktop was current as of August 2017. So, it PowerBI "remembers" the older version of the table vis.

Please close this issue.

Thanks
