Request to Restricting Access to specific IP Range for Data Gateway

Just wanted to check again with you if you have any advise regarding the below? My customer is a huge SAP shop who is interested in doing all analytics through PowerBI on top of SAP, however currently they would not allow connections to PowerBI directly through FQDN. I have shared the full list of Azure Data Centers IPs however they would not accept it either as they need narrowed down range of IPs for the gateway to communicate with PowerBI.

Your help is highly appreciated.

@elserafi

We cannot narrow down the range of IPs for the gateway. The gateway communicates with the Azure Service Bus and will do this by talking to IP addresses used by Azure Service Bus. These are already part of the Azure IP range. You would need to whitelist these IPs to allow communication to be successful.

Best Regards,
Herbert
