Hi Everyone,
From my understanding it (at least it used to be) is not required for a member of a group workspace to have a pro license in order to view reports (as long as they don't contain pro features).
Did this change recently, because that would have a significant impact on our budgets if every group member suddenly would cost us 120$ a year extra!
Thanks in advance,
Harm

Hi @HarmVanG,
Yes, group workspaces are only available with Power BI Pro. And a dashboard, report, or dataset that's contained in a group workspace is also Power BI Pro content.

Hi @v-ljerr-msft,
Thanks for giving some clarity on the subject. This means that we'll have to look for an alternative to group workspaces for some of our regular users.

We are in the same boat unfortunately - its very hard to distinguish between Pro and Free licence from a month to month basis as it quickly evolves. Unfortunate that a workspace requires a Pro licence for just viewing of content in that workspace by ordinary members. This was a good way to logically contain different datasets and dashboards without having it all in the default collection.
