PowerBI Offer for 10K users

Hello everyone,

I am currently working on a project of data visualization for my firm.

Here is my situation :

I created a report with PowerBI Desktop.

My report must be visualized by about 10K users of my organisation, but i will be the only one who work directly on the report. (the 10K users will only visualize the report).

Noone of my target have a PowerBI account.

I want the report to be accessible and optimised for a mobile-phone.

I understood that all my users-target need to have an account PRO to visualize the report.

Or, i can buy a PREMIUM subscription, and all my organization can access to the report i created.

But, for these two cases, the cost of the solution is just prohibitive (more than 8000€/month).

Is my understanding of the PowerBI offer correct ?

Is there a cheaper way to solve my issue ? (1 creator of report - 10K users visualize the report)

Thanks all for your help.

Faithfully,

Sébastien BRIGNOLI

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hello everyone,

thanks for your help !

I think i am going to use the "Publish to Web" solution. The price of the solution is 0€.

I can create my report on Desktop, publish it to web, and send the url to my all organization.

Since my users only use the visualisation option, the "Publish to web" solution seems to be appropriate.

Do you know if there is a way to publish a mobile-optimised report ?

When i publish my report i designed for mobile, the report screens the "PC" version of my report.

Thanks a lot for your help !

Regards

Hiya

I'm not a licensing specialist however my understanding is that assuming you have SQL enterprise with SA then you are entitle to publish reports to an on-premise SSRS Power BI Report server. If the report is accessed from there then the License requirement which would have been needed to access the microsoft hosted report is no longer required, providing of course the users are covered to access the SSRS service. Would be worth checking

You can either publish the report with phone layout.

Or you can share a dashboard under mobile view. See: Create a view of a Power BI dashboard optimized for mobile phones

@SebKaliVith

Since you need to share your work to your 10K users, you must have either Pro licenses for all organization users, or directly purchase Premium. There's no cheaper way like "1 Pro + 10k Free" approach.
