Power BI Performance- Data in reports not loading

Hi,

Many users in our organization are complaining about the reports not loading and the spinner is just spinning when they open a report on the server for a long time. Either the user gets an error saying "Something went wrong" or the spinner is continously spinning for hours without showing any data. The reports are connected to Tabular models (SSAS) as a data source. We have observed that the dashboards connected to Teradata directly are not facing this issue, but the ones connected to SSAS are.

Also, these issues are for some users and only few dashboards out of many. This is affecting the performance of the reports. Can someone please help resolve this issue or know if there are many others facing the same issue? Also, please note that we are not facing this issue on Power BI desktop.

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous,

It sounds like the known issue which power bi team is working on, perhaps you can take a look at power bi support and waiting for fix release.

Users may be unable to render tiles or use tiles to open reports when using applications that embed tiles. Dashboard and report embedding in applications work as expected. Engineers are began deploying the fix for the tile rendering issue, and monitoring its progress as it propagates throughout the environment. Additionally, Engineers are testing the fix to resolve the use of tiles to open reports. Next Update @ 12/08/2017 11:00 PST
