One dashboard multiple recipients with locked filters

Hi

I have the following project to implement. We have a number of partners selling our products. we want to give them a reporting tool where they can see their sales, value generated, commissions etc.

we have all this information in a single source and a special field named "partner" which identifies the partner.

I have a comprehensive report for our internal consumptions which gives us all the details we want to share but this is for all partners.

I have implemeted filters so that I can focus on a specific partner.

I was thinking of buying a licence for each partner, give them access to a copy of the report but I want to do, is to give each partner access to the report where the filter on the partner level would be locked so that they can not see each other's sales figures (and god forbit the overall picture).

How can  I do that?

thank you

Hi @Anonymous,

From your description, you would like the report will be filtered based on each partner so they can see their only data, right?

You can utilize RLS feature. Create a RLS role filter based on Username(), after publish to Power BI service, add these partner to be members of this role. For more information, see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-admin-rls
