Merge cells of a column using group by

Hi Team,


I have a requirement from business saying they want the report that contains a column with total cost using project id as group by condition. I have achieved getting the total cost using measure, but the business expectation is they wanted the report in the below way.


Project IDmoduleCostTotal cost


i understand that the report is based on the existing visuals available in the gallery, but curious to know is there any possibility to achieve the above said functionality.

Hi @sivapratap,

You can create calculated column using the formula and get expected result in Power BI desktop.

Total = IF(Table2[module]=1,CALCULATE(SUM(Table2[Cost]),ALLEXCEPT(Table2,Table2[Project ID])),BLANK())


Then publish it to service, create a table visual shown the result.
