My data source is sql server database and csv and excel file. I didn't change the credentials.  Can somebody help me to solve this problem? Thanks.

Hi @Gracie,

In addition, if you are using the personal gateway to refresh data, you will also need to supply the credentials used to connect to the back end data source on Power BI service. You’re only required to sign in to data sources the first time you use refresh on that dataset. Once entered, those credentials are retained with the dataset. For more details, you can refer to this article. Smiley Happy

So could you try clicking "Edit credentials", then enter the same credentials you used for each source on Power BI Desktop to see if the refresh works? Smiley Happy

Hi @Gracie,

I have installed personal gateway. I read the article, it says the gateway should be installed on the "always-on" computer.  Does it mean if the scheduled refresh happens when the computer is asleep, the refresh will fail ?

The scheduled refresh cannot occur if it’s asleep, and the refresh will not be attempted again until the next scheduled refresh time. Smiley Happy
