Initial Slicer value - Power BI Service

In Power BI Desktop, my report filters data based on the Month / Year slicer selected. The filters are working as expected. However, when published to the Power BI service. The initial view of data is incorrect. My "Month" slicer appears to be highlighted to the current month (April), but the the data is incorrect. When the user selects a different month or filter, the data filters correctly. It appears that the initial publishing of the report does not correctly identify the Month slicer selected.

V-Yulgu-msft: We were able to resolve this problem by deleting the dataset/report and then re-publishing the entire .pbix solution. It seems like the issue was related to the way the original dataset was loaded. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or the way the original slicer/dataset was published.

Thanks for your response.

Hi @jrussell17,

I could not reproduce this problem on my side.

Please change the Chiclet Slicer to the common slicer to test whether issue persists.

How did you calculate the value of 'variance'?

If possible, could you share your .pbix file?

Regards,

Yuliana Gu
