I'm am currently unable to create a On Premise Gateway in Manage Gateways

I'm am currently unable to create a new On Premise Gateway in Manage Gateways.  I'm not getting any type of error it's just doing nothing but if I try to go to another data source I do get a  "Discard chanages?"  message.  All other datasources appear to be working but I just cannot create a  new one.

Hi @ruyguy,

You said that you can get the "Discard changes" when swicth to other datasource in your gateway, then it indicates that you can create new datasource. The issue is that you can create it successfully.

I have tested it on my local environment, we can create new datasource without any issue. So please provide us a screenshot about it, so that we can make further analysis.

Charlie Liao

I'va attached a screen shot of what happens after I click add, which is nothing.  The servername and database names are incorrect but I'm not even getting an error message, litterally nothing happens.

Hi @ruyguy,

Are you getting any errors?

And have you tried to log out and log back into the Power BI Service?

And finally can you confirm that your On-Premise Gateway installation was successful and if you open it now, it has the message "Good to go"?
