Hiearachy slicer suddenly stopped working

Hi,

I have posted this yesteday too.

We are unable to use hierarchy slicer on desktop as well as on service.

Need urgent help.

It was working well till last week.Suddenly this slicer has started throwng error while filtering using this one.

Kindly provide solution as soon as possible.

HierarchySlicer worked fine when I tested on my side. 

What error message did you get? Did HierarchySlicer still work in your desktop? Please re-publish the .pbix file to service for a test. 

By the way, based on my research, a known issue ( CRI: 68733176) for HierarchySlicer has been reported internatively that this custom visual returns an error message: Invalid or malformed QueryDefinition. Is this the same as your scenario?

It has started working now.Thanks alot for your help.

But i hav some queries as if any change is made in custom visual it impacts all our dashboards.

Could you please respond on below two points

• what is the support provided by Microsoft for the custom visuals?
• Also if we have liberty not to update patches for custom visuals – can we turn off auto update?
