Hello,
I created some alert with Flow and PBI and works pretty well. I have some question that I think are in the limit of the two systems.
Regards,
Currently, we are not able to add percentages as alert threshold and edit the format of Alert value, only numerical data are supported. You can add decimal number instead of percentages.
Besides, could you please elaborate your second requirement?
Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
Hello @v-yuezhe-msft,
Thanks for your reply. Okay, that makes sense.
The second requirement is about using data from the dashboard that is not present in the alert, into the generated email. For example, let's stay I create an alert that that triggers on a sales metric, let set the alert trigger on an increase in sales of 5%.
So, my problem is to visualise the 5% increase (alert value) alongside the value on the metric defined on dollars, in other words, How much dollars represent that 5% increase.
The "workaround" is a manual fix, where I need to set the 5% increase in whole numbers, for example, if I have 1 MM dollars on sales, a change in this metric to 1,050,000 it will trigger the alert right?. So I would need to add 1,050,00 in the above threshold of the alert.
This workaround is pretty inefficient and for me kills the whole idea of alerts on relative KPI, if I need to set manually alert thresholds, it doesn't make sense to set it in the first time, because almost on a daily basis I would need to change the different thresholds for different KPI.
Regards,
@acanepa,
Currently, your requirement can't be acheived by using the existing Alert feature in Power BI Service, some ideas about this issue have been submitted in the following links, please vote them up.
