I checked my dashboards and data today and there seems to be an issue with the mapping on all of my dashboards. It is the filled map to be specific. I have data in states like KS, MO, VA, etc and it is not showing up. But the data I have for Montana, Minnesota, Iowa, etc are all showing up. The filters are all cleared and I checked the data and everything is okay there.
Can anyone help with this issue?
I have already changed the data category. I am still confused as to why some states are showing up and some are not when the data is in the same format coming from one source.
Hi @ahines,
It's recommended to use use the three-letter abbreviation of countries or regions to ensure that geocoding works properly in map visualizations rather than use two-letter abbreviations, as some countries or regions may not be properly recognized. See: Note section in Tips and Tricks for Power BI Map visualizations.
In your scenario, please follow this article to deal with two-letter abbreviations: How-To: Display 2-letter country data on a Power BI map.
