Error with PubNub as streamed data input

ATTN: Sirui Sun

When I try to follow your article about using PubNub as a streamed data input for Power BI dashbaord (here), I get an error message from Power BI stating the PubNub streamed dataset can not be created. The Sub Key and Channel information is correctly provided to Power BI's new streaming dataset configuration panel. I have attached the generic error message I received below for your perusal :

Many thanks in advance !

Hey all - there is an issue in the service right now which is preventing successful creation of PubNub streaming datasets. We're working on a fix. I will update this thread with more details as we make progress.

Update: the ETA for this fix to be rolled out is middle of next week.

@jxjia, we've tried but failed to reproduce the same issue as yours. Have you ever tried to create the Stream Dataset with the Subscribe key: sub-c-5f1b7c8e-fbee-11e3-aa40-02ee2ddab7fe and Channel: pubnub-sensor-network provided in this article?

Hi Team,

Yes, I used the same Subkey and Channel information.  I also tried another few exmaples provided by PubNub on their website, all failed with same the error message aforementioned.

Screenshot of error:

You can see the Subkeys does generate correct metadata, but it has failed to create dataset from the source.

Cheers,

Gin
