Using this option in the service, I don't get any change to take place.
I'm using the area chart.
Anyone else have this issue?
I have Year, then Month in a hierarchy... expanding out still shows 2016 04 not a box with 2016 then inside/above/whatever all the months.

When you create a local hierarchy in Power BI, it works fine in area and bar charts.
I am not sure if that new feature is supported in SSAS Live, maybe someone from the support team can answere that.
OK I found part of my issue.
It appears to happen when switching back and forth between chart types.
I did not realize not all chart types supported this feature, for example the line chart with stacked columns does NOT support the "do not" concatinate x-axis lables for example.
