I have seen some other posts about this, but not seen one with a fix. This looks like a bug.
When I login to PowerBI online, I can see a Personal Gatway connection that I set up on a Laptop some time ago. This particular connection was just a test, and I no longer want it. There is no option however to remove it.
I have setup a new personal gateway on a fixed PC, as this is the one that I now want to use, but this one is not visible or selectable from the Gateway Connection Screen.
Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this, or know if Microsoft can assist with the issue at all?
After you setup a new personal gateway on a new PC, make sure the status is Connected when you click the personal gateway icon in the right corner of windows task bar. At this time, go to the dataset settings in Power BI Service, the machine name shown there will be changed from your laptop to your new PC automatically. Actually you do not need to remove it.
Best Regards,
Herbert
