Hello Everyone,
I have an AWS VM Windows instance running under a windows domain. I created a redshift on AWS too and gave access to this VM only under VPC Security of AWS Cloud. Thant means I can access this Redshift only from this AWS Windows VM.
I created a report using direct query mode connecting this Redshift and publish it on cloud PowerBI.com, now as I enter the credentials of this redshift in Power BI Service, it does not connect because Redshift can connect from only that AWS Windows VM (Thats what I figured)
So how do we connect this Power BI.com to Redshift ?
Thanks,
Akash
Chance your security context in AWS?
I can't change the security in AWS, Redshift is running behind the VPC. And client don't want to minimize their security. Is their any way it can be solve?
As you have set that you can access this Redshift only from this AWS Windows VM. So I don't think there is any other way to work around this issue.

So as we have On-premise data gateway for SQL Server can't we establish same for Redshift and connect it to the Power BI Cloud, is there any way to do it ?
Has there been any follow-up to this? We're also investigating way's to handle PBI connectivity with Redshift in VPC.
Is there an update regarding this issue? Thanks
