BUG While Exporting Reports from Power BI Services- Filters not applied

While Exporting a report from the PowerBI services File->Export To Power Point(Preview) filter choices are not applied.

This is a major issue as no matter what filters are chosesn, the PPT always shows all data. If report has to be exported for say different departments, there is no way to get that PPT. Serious Bug! Please fix this.

Hi @SachinS,

From this article, you can see:

  • In-session interactivity such as highlighting and filtering, drill-down, and so on, are not yet supported when exporting to PowerPoint. The exported PowerPoint shows the original visuals as they were saved in the report.

If you want to export with filtered data to PowerPoint, you need to save the report with filter applied.

Hi All,

When o Premium capacity end users cannot even save after applying their filters to be exported. Is that right? Is that a limitation when end users access reports in Premium workspace?

Thank you Lucas

Thanks for the reply Qiuyun. Yes, we are using the save workaround for few intances, however as you can imagine if I have 40 departments, I need to dave 40 reports before I can export.

May be something Microsoft should  look into in its Power BI Roadmap.

Regards,

Sachin
