Re: Sharepoint integration timeline

You'll be able to turn on the in report filters pane. The web part won't have any APIs itself so other web parts won't be able to pas filters to the Power BI web part. Definitely an interesting asks. Could you create an idea on https://ideas.powerbi.com to track that?

Re: Sharepoint integration timeline

We are actively working to enable secure embedding in SharePoint Online pages. The experience will work in SharePoint's new modern sites and modern pages. Best of all it will be fully single-sign-on when you log-in to SharePoint Online.

Right now we're testing this internally and will enable it externally once it's ready. Generally we don't give out timelines, but expect this one in early 2017.

We'll update this idea when it's available, so please add your vote to learn when it's available:

Re: Sharepoint integration timeline

Will this integration enable presetting filters as part of the embedding process? For example if there is a report that focuses on sales and there are regional SP pages that the report is embedded into, would it be possible to have the report filtered for that region specifically automatically?

Re: Sharepoint integration timeline

It would be great for the visual to pick up filter parameters from the propery bag of the site. Then you put the same visual on any number of sites, and it shows the correct 'In Context' analytics for that Sales team, Project or Customer etc.

Nothing new to share on this one. See my response earlier in the thread (from last week).
