Integration with SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-premise

It would be great to see "Power BI" integration with SharePoint Online via "SharePoint Framework". The same approach also for SharePoint On-premise version.

I think i remember seeing a demo at Ignite that included a PowerBI web part to add to the new modern page layout. Does anyone know when that will be available?

Re: Integration with SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-premise

I responded on another thread: it's a web part specific to SharePoint Online.

For SharePoint On-premises, it's something we're looking into, but its actually not that easy to do seamlessly given how authentication works on premises. Definitely something to track through https://ideas.powerbi.com; you  might want to start a new idea specific to on-premises since the ones that are out there are mostly about SharePoint online at present.

Re: Integration with SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-premise

Hello,

Sorry but this "The Power BI report web part requires all the viewers to have a Power BI Pro license" is just not acceptable and makes no sense at all.

You can't expect top management and stakeholders to have a PRO license just to see dashboards and reports.

We need this as designers/developers/analysts but there's no reason, except getting more money, to force everyone to have a PRO license even if it's just as a read only account.

We are around 1000 employees just in Spain and this is holding me back to sell the Power BI solution as I know they will say no 100% sure.

Please re-consider this.

Thanks!
