Word 2013

When trying to open a .DOCX file in Word 2013  I receive the following error message:

“there was an error opening the file.”

What can be causing this to happen?

@eric3939 Shot in the dark here. Did you recently upgrade from Win 7 to 10?

This could resolve your issue, otherwise, make sure you are on the latest version (get latest updates) and see if the problem still persists.
