Power BI Desktop Designer - Mobile Tiles

I'm just getting started with Power BI - Is it possible to create a dashboard in Power BI Desktop designer then deploy to power BI to view in tiles on the mobile app?

So far I've only managed to create a dashboard in the web version and it only appears as a full dashboard rather than the tiles in the samples. How do I create something more like the samples?

Thanks

Hi @Johnhepp,

Can you elaborate on "Like the samples"?

if you mean dashboard without the option to drill into reports, that is not possible.

Power BI apps are design by "it just work" approach, what ever is available in the web dashboard will be available in the mobile apps.

That said, there is a hack 🙂

You can use costumed links in the web to change the tile behavior and direct them to a custom link.

Note that this will not disable the access to report as a whole.

Hi @RomiK,

Thanks for you for your reply

The samples I am referring to are in the mobile app on iOS.

When I upload a pbix file from Desktop designer then view in iOS, I can see the dashboard as a whole rather than in neat tiles like in the samples under the names VP Sales etc.

When I can get to my PC I'll try and upload some screenshot examples of each.

Thanks again,
John
