Barcode Scanner - choose visualizations to filter

I am creating a report that uses the barcode scanner to filter and also contains slicers. I have two tables. Here is what I want:

Table 1: Filtered when barcode is scanned

Table 2: Not filtered when barcode is scanned - must use slicers

I know you can control what visualizations are filtered by what slicers in a report, but I also want to control what visualizations the barcode scanner filters.

I've tried separating the data for the 2 tables into 2 separate data sets/fields, but I get an error on Table 2 when I scan a barcode. I was hoping it would remain unfiltered.

Any help on this would be much appreciated!

Hi @Rylee,

>>I know you can control what visualizations are filtered by what slicers in a report, but I also want to control what visualizations the barcode scanner filters.

Current power bi mobile scanner not support this feature which you mentioned.

I have a idea to deal with your requirement 1, but I'm not so sure if it works on power bi mobile. (url parameter filter)

1. Open the specified visual and copy the visual url.
2. Add parameter filter in url and convert this custom url to barcode.
3. Use scanner to scan above barcode.

Reference:

Passing filter to the embedded URL

Passing parameters to Power BI filter programmatically
