Dears,
If company has a Windows 2012 R2 server which already install Power BI Server (Technical Preview) would still need to enable Active Directory Application Proxy so the server could be access from mobile device through internet ?
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=55253
According to Application Proxy prerequisites which needs "A Microsoft Azure AD basic or premium subscription and an Azure AD directory for which you are a global administrator".
So if company do not have Microsoft Azure AD subscription, then anyway the reports in Power BI Servers could be access by mobile through internet ?
Thanks!
Andy Wong
Hi Andy,
You can connect to your Power BI Server or SSRS from your mobile apps using basic or NTLM authentication.
In addition you can connect using ADFS with WAP based on Windows Server 2016.
Please see more details in this link - https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-mobile-oauth-ssrs/
Thanks,
Gabi
Hi Gabi,
Does Power BI Mobile could connect using ADFS with WAP based on Windows Server 2012 R2 or must be on Windows Server 2016 platform ?
Besides may I know using ADFS with WAP to authenticate user profile which is authenticate the on-premises AD (within company ) but not Azure AD ?
Thanks !
