Hi. My Power BI reports have recently been unable to refresh due to the following error. The reports were working previously with no issue.   The report was drawing data from Dynamics 365 online. I have already tried changing the version number from 9.2 to previous version, but still got the same error.       When I tried to relogin with my organizational account for credentials, this error was thrown up:   Failed to update data source credentials: The feed's metadata document appears to be invalid. Hello, On about 10 models, where we've created "tab" like buttons using shapes to allow users to control what visuals they see, we stack buttons up against each other and have since the new shapes came out.  Users click the blue "buttons" to see different visuals and a white tab will then show.  We're now on. [Version: 2.98.683.0 64-bit (October 2021)].  What we've seen is that the shapes "degrade" where the left-most shape loses it's left edge.  This is true for most but not all models and most but not all shapes.  Strange. Here's an example of what a "tab string" starts out looking like. And here's an example after degradation.  You can see the shape has lost it's left edge I've fixed all of them already once...and it's re-occured.  It has degraded on both desktop and power bi services. We have created a report in PowerBI desktop with the new filter pane enabled. The report theme is dark grey. So in the filter pane our filter cards are grey with white text. Everything preforms as it should in PowerBI desktop. However, once we upload the report to the power bi service the filter card text colors reset to default. So in our example, leaving us with dark grey filter cards with black unreadable text.   As a workaround for those having the same issue: You can edit the report in the powerbi service and change the colors from there. However you must do this for every page in the report... We use the report in the example above for multiple clients, so manually changing every pages filter card text color has been a tedious process to say the least.   If any screenshots are needed to help identify the issue reach out and I can post some. ... I think there may be a fundamental problem with the enteprise gateway.   I have setup a brand new gateway and tried to create a datasource for the following URL's   https://www.google.com.au/?q=1 https://www.google.com.au/?q=2   I can only create a datasource for one of these, not both.   When I try to do both I get a duplicate data source error.   It looks like the enterprise gateway is stripping off the query string when checking for duplicates.   Unfortunately, this is a fairly serious limitation as when using Reporting Services (and most likely other web applications) much of the unique information is contained in the query string.   This has not been a problem in the past so looks like something that has recently been introduced. ... Hello,   I can't connect to my Sharepoint data folder anymore. I use the Sharepoint folder connecter. After the logon process and MFA process, Power BI reports: " Something went wrong" , "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".   This occured after the update this week to version: 2.98.683.0 64-bit (oktober 2021).   Even a blank Power BI report with only an attempt to use the connector result in this error. I think this is a bug. It seems BPI Desktop is not saving PBIT files correctly under certain circumstances.   When I open a PBIX file and do nothing in the file, then save it as a template file, it will save as 3 MB file. However, if i were to save the file as a PBIX file first, then save it as a template file it will be significantly smaller, i.e. 9 KB. ... View more

Hi There,   I have used Fuzzy Merge to join two data sets in Power Bi Desktop and everything went well. The refresh was also successful in Power Bi desktop.   However, the dataset refresh on the Power BI service is failing with the below error:    Data source errorThe import Table.FuzzyNestedJoin matches no exports. I have recently been unable to connect to any new Sharepoint sources in my Power BI reports. The existing connections that I have built continue to work, but any new connections result in the following error:   There are no further details with the error, making troubleshooting difficult. I have attempted using the Sharepoint folder, Web, and Excel Workbook connectors and all result in the same error. I have attempted uninstalling/reinstalling Power BI Desktop as well as clearing my permissions, but nothing has worked. All of a sudden all of my automatic refreshes have been failing due a message "Your data source can't be refreshed because the credentials are invalid." Nothing has changed and I don't know why I am receiving this message.    I click on Edit Credentials (Salesforce credentials) and unable to do so because now I'm receiving this message "Failed to update data source credentials: We're sorry, an error occurred during evaluation".   This was all working fine a couple of days ago and yesterday, I started running into the refresh issue.
