I am currently trying to implement a DirectLake semantic model with Power BI embedded (Embed for your customers) inside a C# ASP.NET Core web application. When I try to generate a token using the GenerateTokenAsync(workspaceId, reportId, tokenReuest) method, I get a BadRequest error with the message "Embedding a DirectLake dataset is not supported with V1 embed token". Is there another option to use DirectLake as my semantic model in this case or am I needing to use DirectQuery? Any timeline when this will be available?

The button for activating an alert for the report is incorrectly labeled in the Power BI service (at least when using German as the display language). This happens both in reports and apps.

Hello, there's something terribly wrong with the latest versions of Power BI Desktop I need to log in twice when I launch the application and twice again when I go to the open file menu When I say login I mean FULL LOGIN: email + Password + MFA It makes me miserable around 4-5 times a day this is something specific to the Windows 10 version that is ued in my customer VDI **** Edición Windows 10 Enterprise for Virtual Desktops Versión 22H2 Instalado el ‎25/‎05/‎2023 Compilación del sistema operativo 19045.3570 **** and here is the version I'm using from Power BI desktop Please do something about it!

Does PowerBI Service support multiple DirectQuery data sources on one report? We are facing a problem specific to SingleStore PowerBI Connector while we are querying data from two separate SingleStore databases via PowerBI. A single Power BI report with two DirectQuery connections to SingleStore does not work, but gives us an error message in each visual. Error message attached. We can change one of the two SingleStore connections to use Import mode instead of DirectQuery and the problem goes away. This, however, is not a long-term solution as the data volume is already too large for Import mode refreshes to be practical, and it is expected to grow substantially in the near term. We are familiar with composite models but unfortunately they won't satisfy our need because it implies usage of Direct AND Import modes. We’re interested whether PowerBI Service itself supports multiple DirectQuery connections, because PowerBI Desktop does. If it does, what are the differences between PowerBI Service and PowerBI Desktop that affect it?

This has gone on for too long Microsoft. People have asked nicely, complained, written blogs, emails and created videos and still Your Power Platform forums are 💩. Forums have been around since the Internet and have been used and maintained all over the web. MS in its infinite wisdom decides to reinvent the wheel, making it impossible to maintain your account access across organizations. And even when you go through the hassle of updating your email to a new org, You have to reset your username to something completely different if you haven't logged in for a while. REALLY!!!!! So I lose all my posts and saves and ranks just because I changed my email address. Don't even get me started with the help, that just takes you round in circles, especially when it wants you to create a new username, which you already have, but can't use b/c , hello, it exists to an account with your same email. How do I get my Power Forum accounts back MS Power forums team? Or like any other MS product that is perpetual beta mode have to wait till ♾. And then there's this post itself, it's supposed to be under ISSUES, that's what the name is (Microsoft Power BI Community Issues Issues) and the url (https://community.powerbi.com/t5/forums/postpage/board-id/Issues), but some God Complex Admin wants it to be an Idea, b/c issues are problems and ideas can be got to ... whenTFever ........... and now can't post b/c have to select a label when none apply 😖 IDEA: fix your 💩

Hi All! I'm using the google calendar - when an event is added, updated or deleted from a calendar. I then have a switch that goes to added, delete and updated. I can't figure out the deleted, as it won't delete the calendar event from outlook if it's deleted from google calendar. Thanks in advanced!

Hello, I am trying to free up space on my OneDrive but I do not want to delete any items from my computer, I just want to desync them from OneDrive and keep them on my desktop. However, when I go to settings to remove the files from OneDrive it will not let me because it says that it is an important folder. I do not need to have all my pictures saved on OneDrive I just want them on my desktop and a harddrive. I just want my OneDrive to save files for work and school. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

In Power BI Desktop there is a way to use Authentication Web API Key which works fine and even submitting a custom ApiKeyName in M Power Query Language works ok. This of course submits the API Key in the URL. There is a work around if the API requires the API key to be submitted in the headers in M Power Query Language like [Headers = KeyName="Key"] and this works well for what it needs to do, however this leaves the API in an insecure location and cannot be configured to work with automatic refreshes. If I try configure Web API under Data Source Settings then Web.Contents will not allow a "SEC" header to be set (the required name of my APIKey). There needs to be a way to configure an API key to be submitted in the headers through the Data Source Settings screen.

Hi, all of our data flows within one workspace won't update. This issue is both on advanced flows and more simple flows. This issue appeared suddenly yesterday. The workspace contains 25-30 data flows. By copying a flow to a new workspace, the flow updates smoothly. Please advice, Br, Per Kverneland

I have a 5K row sample sales dataset that I am trying to demonstrate how to detect and handle errors from the data source. My issue is, that when I purposley place text in a date column, or in a whole number column, the error will show in Power Query as an "Error". However when I go to close/load that table into Power BI, the loading splash screen displays long enough to show it is processing the data, however right as it finishes, the table shows the green checkmark for a split second, and the splash screen goes away. The result in my Power BI report shows the error fields as blanks. My question is, why does the load screen dissapear without giving me the results of each table load? Where is the red flag with "3 out of 5000 rows contain errors" Flag? Is this a setting somewhere?

This affects some users in our tenant: when trying to publish from Power BI Desktop, they get a message: "Sorry no workspaces were found in Power BI Service. Please try again." The issue was identified yesterday and has repeated today. Our tenant is located in Canada.

In the past we could append the same column name and rename the column in the visual. Now when you rename the column name it will rename all the column names.
