Hello, I developed multiple reports for my company in a last few months. I decided to increase the resolution to 1920x1080 pixel in all main report pages. What I'm facing now, that it works fine in PBI Service - because it has "Fit to page" feature (and has advantages, like better scalability for text/font size, better image quality, etc.) But if I want to copy a visual as a picture - it copies only part of it - actually it has a "limit" around 1150-1200 pixel. The rest of the visual is not there. Other annoying thing is if I want to link the visual in a Powerpoint slide - everything is too large - and there is no fit to page, or fit to canvas option. The only thing we could do to increase the size of slides as well, but it's suboptimal. I think should be a zoom out/zoom in feature for this situations. It seems that this live connection is designed to work with standard page sizes, and nothing else. And that's why it's annoying that it's not mentioned anywhere in the descriptions, that it can cause such problems if we change the size of the Canvas. ... View more

Good afternoon,   We are running into an issue with custom theme icons. The custom theme loads successfully and the icons are available for selection under conditional formatting. However, the table shows a default image instead of the selected custom icon. Icons display as expected when selecting for the default set. I have a report with a Line and Clustered Column chart in which I do not want to show the secondary Y axis.  The intent is for the columns and line to share a single Y axis.  When I turn off the secondary axis in Power BI Desktop, the visual appears as expected:   However, when I publish to the service, the secondary Y axis is turned back on and the line is moved to an arbitrary place:   This makes the entire visual misleading, because having the line on its own seemingly random axis defeats the purpose of the visual.  Is there a way to fix the bug that is re-enabling the secondary Y axis after publishing?     ... I have a service principal which has viewer access to a single workspace. In the workspace, one of my reports uses a dataset from another workspace the service principal doesn't have access to. I'm able to successfully query the report from the reports in group api (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/reports/get-reports-in-group) But when using the get pages in group api (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/reports/get-pages-in-group)I get a 401 unauthorized error.    Is there any documentation for this behavior? Why do the report pages return a 401 unauthorized in this case but not reports? I believe this is a bug and this seems to be how to report bugs, but let me know if there's another way. ... View more

I cannot open my .pbix model because I get an error regarding a grouped column not being found. There must be a visual using a grouped column that got deleted, but I cannot open the file to fix it. This is like running out of gas outside of a gas station but not being let in to the station to fix the problem. How do I open this file so I can delete/fix this column so I can continue using this important model? I'm stuck until I can get this file open and repaired. CONTEXT: The data source is a lakehouse (LH) table.  2 columns: DATE (type date) and TIME (type datetime, because LH). I am running Capacity refreshable API using service principal and it is not able to read capacity. Hey, I'm working with SharePoint files, and I'm having an issue. All the files are combined into one, but this particular file keeps loading and I can't seem to access it for editing. I've checked if background data is disabled, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. I'm not sure what's going on. I've been using this project for several months, and it's the first time I've encountered this issue with the preview not working. Not even an error message appears.   I have this project set up with automatic daily refresh, and it's quite perplexing. While the web version is functioning properly and I can see the updated data online, the Power BI Desktop version seems completely frozen. ISSUE: The following code return 2,230,015:   SELECT MAX([Index]) FROM FACT_RWS;   But after sorting the index column in descending mode in the LH table view, we get a smaller number: 2,169,352.     Even though the view only shows 1,000 rows, I am assuming that when sorting in descending order, it would return the top 1,000, that is, from the highest or max number down to the 1,000th lower number, just like on a SQL Server instance. I recently started working with PowerBI for the first time. Most things seemed to go smoothly, then suddenly my report started acting weird overnight. A couple of mornings ago I opened my laptop and saw that it was updating, sure. But when I opened powerBI again to continue on an assignment, all my graphs that uses [D Time].[Calendar Year] as a filter stopped working. Whenever I apply a year filter all the data from a graph/table just dissapears, even if it's supposed to have data in that year. I tried reinstalling PowerBI, I cleared every cache, deleted all existing files. I tried fully disabling firewall, This didn't fix it. I then ported all my files (ssms database scripts, visual studio project, powerbi report) to my pc, and there it works perfectly. Hi there, I have recently come across a bug that seems to be across all our Power BI reports and affects multiple chart types (Line & Stacked Column, 100% Stacked Column, and Stacked Area 100% confirmed). Taking one report as an example: I have a Custom Date table, marked as a date table within my model. In my report canvas I have a slicer based on a Year-Quarter-Month date hierarchy, and the aforementioned chart types using the date field on the x-axis, with continuous as the type, expanded to month level. When unfiltered, the x-axis labels appear as expected: When filtering for year, everything is still as expected: However, it gets weird at Quarterly and Monthly levels, BUT, only when January or Q1 is selected. Any other quarter or month shows as expected: -Incorrect labelling on Q1 or Jan: -Correct Labelling for other Quarters/Months: If the issue was consistent, then I would accept the problem being my data model, but given the inconsistency, it must be on the MS side. Issue Description: Upon attempting to archive a file in Power BI while signed in with my admin account, the application consistently crashes. This issue arises specifically when I need to archive the file first before publishing, as this step requires my "normal" account connected to OneDrive and this PC. Steps to Reproduce: Sign in to Power BI using the admin account. Open the desired Power BI file. Attempt to archive the file before publishing. Power BI crashes unexpectedly. Additional Context: My organization mandates the use of a separate admin account for connecting to the database and publishing online. I have a datamart that normally takes around 30 minutes to refresh. This morning the refresh started taking over an hour and keeps failing.
