All of my dataflows randomly stopped working. I get the following error message for every query on my dataflow. We encountered an error during evaluation. Details: An error occurred while communicating with another service, please try again later. If this problem recurs, please contact support with this message. (Request ID: xxxxx) It gives me a strange Request ID everytime. DIfferent for each workspace but not related to any kind of dataset or workspace ID. Issue Started roughly 11am PST Time 20th July 2023. Data Stored in Canada Central (Toronto). Issue is with all kind of dataflow (i.e. both cloud and gateway sources) PPU Workspaces are working fine. It's only Pro Workspaces where this issue is occuring

Related to this topic: Display error (decimal point instead of a comma) - Microsoft Fabric Community Please fix it: I have this bug in PBI Service: The comma is shown right (2,7 and 5,3) but the percent value is WRONG 49.97 instead of 49,97. Please fix this: "." to "," . Region settings are right because everything else shown the comma.

Since October 24th 2022 the Microsoft version of the IBM DB2 connector returns an error on both Import and DirectQuery when working with JDEdwards on an IBM DB2 database (I haven't tried with other databases and tables). "HISMPCB0002 In BasePrimitiveConverter the SetCodePage method has been called with a invalid codepage: 937" This goes for the Power BI Desktop October 2022 version as well as the Power BI Service. When I roll back to the PBI Desktop September version I have no errors with my report. But when I publish the report to the service, the error reappears. Unfortunately this prevents us from doing any reports on the database. When a dimension field parameter is used in a matrix visual that has more than one expanadable rows, the visual is collapsed to the level of the field parameter whenever I make a selection from the field parameter slicer. Consider the following matrix, where COST_PERIOD is the dynamic field and TEST PARAMETER is the slicer that controls that field: As you can see, the table is expanded to tge level of Vendor Name. Now, when I make another selection fron the TEST PARAMETER slicer, the table is automatically collapsed to the level of the COST_PERIOD field and I have to expand everything all over again:

Hi, Power BI Dashbaord is publsihed in premium capacity workspace and contains multiple reports. It is embedded to an application through an iFrame link.The iFrame is a login button and then the report is displayed. The problem is the internal iFrame is not reloading after sigin, the entire page needs to be reloaded to display the reports. Any help would be much appreciated!

When adding an image to a series in the new card visual it says that the SVG format is supported, and it will allow you to select an SVG, but the SVG will not display. Note, I am not referring to the 'background image' in the card fill settings though, the SVG does display and work fine there.

As of 2/20, the Power BI Release Plan report has failed to refresh. This is occuring across multiple users. On nearly every report I have in Power BI Desktop, I refresh the data and get this error message on random tables/queries in my dataset. To 'fix' it, I have to open the Power Query Editor, refresh all previews in there, then close the editor and refresh the data in the report view again - and everything refreshes no problem. So, it's not actually an issue with my queries at all - it just seems to be a bug in PBI Desktop.

Datamart is suddenly uneditable and unable to be refreshed. All underlying dataflow tables are accessible and able to be used. Existing reports on top of this datamart can still be accessed. The message when attempting to refresh: "Unable to open the datamart because it is not connected to its dataset. Wait a few seconds, and then try again." Have tried periodically for over 8 hours. When total labels are turned on, the labels do not show when data is sliced to an option that has only one legend category. See here, the data is sliced and there are multiple legend values. The total labels work. Here in the same chart, the data is sliced and there is only one legend value. The total labels disappear. We don't want to enable regular data labels, only the total. Is this intended functionality? Or is this a bug? Seems like if I choose total labels on they should always work by default.

Hi, I am receiving multiple prompts to log into my work account If I try to close out without logging, PBID shuts down If I close PBID and reopen I have to login again My login especailly from same IP address should be good for a few hours. What I tried so far: 1.) Reboot - still same issue 2.) Uninstall PBID Download latest installer Install Still same issue Other ideas? Thanks -w

I recently added source control to a Power BI workspace. I was able create a new branch (which is called "Checkout new branch"), make changes to a report, and commit the changes. I was able to see the changes in the branch in Azure DevOps, and merge them into the main branch. The merge removed the working branch during the merge. I am not able to check out the main branch. Power BI / Fabric: does not seem to be aware of the merge does not give one the option to switch back to the main branch will only let me create a new branch The most basic flow I can think of is new branch from main --> do work --> test --> merge branch to main --> relax with my thoughts. Is this possible with Source Control in Power BI? I can't imagine this is the expected behavior.

List.Average is not computed correctly in this code. [ Source = #table({"Value"}, {{null}, {1}}) & #table({"Value"}, {{2}}), Avg = List.Average(Source[Value]) ] It computes to 1 whereas it should be 1.5. Such incorrect List.Average calculation seems to occur anytime you are working with a non-buffered table built by combining tables. If you do an average on a column from a table like the code above or in a Table.Group, the average calculation erroneously includes nulls in the value count for the denominator. The error does not occur with List.NonNullCount, List.Median, or List.StandardDeviation. Also, if you buffer the table or buffer the list before averaging, the error does not occur.

I'm using a slider for Dates like in this picture. I have a datasource with values for a lot of elements and the slicer is used to filter the dates to analyze. The problem is when I publish the report (and configure the gateway in order to be refreshed every day) the last day of the slicer doesn't update to the last day in the database. For example, Today I have values in the database and the last day in the database is 15th of January and slicer is set to 15th of January. I publish the report and set a schedule refresh. The problem will be tomorrow when the report will be refreshed that the last day in the dataset will change to maybe 16th of january and the slicer will be the same 15th of january instead of the 16th of january .

My first page has a lot of visuals and the user should scroll down to see them. When the user clicks a visual and goes to another page scroll position is the same not at the top of the page. My pages are in actual size with scroll. It is a very basic thing but I couldn't solve it. Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Hello, When creating a new or changing a current working dataflow with a Exasol certified connector. The refresh fails with "Expression.Error: The import Exasol.Database matches no exports. Did you miss a module reference?". It does work in the designer mode. This is preventing us from maintenance and new development using our datawarehouse. Please give us advice on solving this problem. Hi! With fabric launch the way how you connect to Power BI dataset has changed. Previously, when you was connecting to already developed dataset for all report no new datasets were added. Now all reports connected to dataset have their own separate dataset. Because of that when we are publishing Power BI App with those reports connected to separate datasets access provided only to directly connected to this reports datasets, but not original. And this causes "Couldn't retrieve the data for this visual. Please try again later" because it still requires users to have access permission to the original dataset. For now we have manually added rights to origin dataset, but this doesn't sound as working properly, or we are doing something wrong? Many thanks in advance!

When creating a new metric on a scorecard, I set the due date to be a certain date (12/15/2022 in the below example): When I "Save" the metric and open up multiple targets, the due date is set to 12/30/22. No matter what I set as the Due Date at the start, it always defaults to exactly 1 month from today. This means anyone viewing the metric trend with Show targets activated will see the incorrect Due Date (see below). As a business user, I need to be able to set the due date when I create the metric and see this accurately reflected in the underlying data.

Hello, Fabric UI is displaying measure expressions as redacted. This occurs when a Workspace Contributor creates a new measure in a Power BI dataset, connected to a Datalakehouse SQL Endpoint, and subsequently refreshes the page. This behavior seems odd since the same contributor developed the dataset. I don't believe this issue is related to permissions as they should have visibility. As a Fabric admin, everything appears to be working correctly for me. Thanks
