If you have a matrix with a hierarchy on the rows and have both the +/- buttons enabled and the visual header hierarchy navigation buttons showing it is possible for the user to break the conditional formating. If you have a matrix where there is conditional formatting applied to both the top level and bottom level of the hierarchy and you navigate the hierarchy exclusivly with either the +/- buttons or the visual header the conditional formatting works as expected. If you navigate down it removes it from the top level and if you navigate back up it reapplies to the top level again. However if you navigate with a mixture of the two methods such as expand the hierarchy with the visual header and then go back up with the +/- buttons the top level will remain bold and the conditional formatting will not reapply.

All the colors I had configured keep defaulting to the new "undefined" teal color after I turned the new "layers" overlay off. Please fix. UPDATE: 3/5/2020 - I had thought the colors were resetting due to the new "Layers" feature, however, I found that the colors reset whenever I added an integer to the "Size" fields and aggregated that to use the Maximum value. I have an odata data source created using PowBI desktop with organizational acount authentication choosen. After publishing my dataset to PBI service I'd like to configure my data source for scheduled refresh but after publishing the source cannot be scheduled becuse credentials are not filled: When trying to edit my credentials, OAuth option is no longer showing so my credentials cannot be entered:

This issue has been occuring for the past week, only for one specific report. Publishing from the desktop client still works normally and is being used as a manual refresh. I've subscrped to my PowerBI dastboard, and i was able to get a email subscription of the dashboard each time is freshed. But now, I'm still able to receive the sbuscription email, but it has no content expect report name. Also, the dashboard works well, only subscprition email is blank. Does anyone can help?

Hi, There seems to be a bug in the new filter in data view feature in the latest update. If the list is particularly long, the filter box that opens up goes beyond the screen because of which I am not able to make a selection and click on the "OK" button. It seems to be fine when the list is just a couple of items I noticed this problem on a laptop. Haven't yet tried it on a desktop with a larger screeen. Anybody else facing this problem?

In desktop and embedded the tooltip when hovering over a field in table or matrix is persistent. When the report is published to .com the tip fades after 5 seconds. Its particularly useful on wrapped text fields in the table to have the popup tip persist so the text can be read. Can behaviour be made consistent, preferably permanent until focus changes, ideally configurable. thanks M.

Hello, I have noticed today that reports I am publishing in the PBI service are incorrectly changing the formatting of banded rows on matrix visualisations. In the desktop application, the formatting shows as expected, it is only after publishing to the service that the error occurs. This is undesired from a user perspective as it makes the data harder to read. The first 2 screengrabs are from the desktop app and are as expected. The second 2 are how the service is showing the banded rows. Please may you investigate? We utilize out-of-tenant shared dashboards extensively and are aware of the change made yesterday to the Power BI Free service. We've had our clients activate their free Pro trial and are using a Pro account to share out-of-tenant. However, even after activation, out-of-tenant shared dashboard links are not working. They just display the Power BI logo and it blinks continuously. I tried going to the dashboard as the owner (again, logged into a Pro account), clicking "Stop Sharing" on the dashboard and re-sharing with the client (who had activated the Pro trial) and still, they see the blinking Power BI logo. Using developer tools in the browser, I see a failed XMLHttpRequest: URL: https://wabi-us-north-central-redirect.analysis.windows.net/powerbi/invitation/dashboards/invitations/accept Method: HTTPS POST Error code: 401 (Unauthorized) Looks like yesterday's switch-over broke out-of-tenant dashboards. This seems to happen all the time, out-of-tenant sharing is very unstable and doesn't seem to be tested well enough when changes are made to the Power BI Service. I've opened many other tickets reflecting these issues on this site. Please let me know if you need any more details, all of our clients are dead in the water right now (even after activating the Pro trial). @v-haibl-msft - you've been very helpful in the past on keeping me informed & updated on issues like this so wanted to proactively make you aware what's happening here. Hello, I just noticed that all the slicers with Blanks of my reports are having a buggy behaviour on the website (not in the Desktop). If i check the Blank option before any other check, it keeps checked around 0.5 seconds and then unchecks, showing "All" again on the slicer. Anyway, the rest of the visuals remain filtered by the blanks, despite the fact there is not a single filter. Example of Slicer which doesn´t work after click on Blank: Thanks

Tested a dashboard using a simple r script (testdata = iris). Made a visual out of test data and published to power bi service. Trying to set up scheduled refresh which is not working. Installed personal mode gateway on same laptop as power bi script. Even turned off custom connectors and applied changes and restarted the gateway as one of the solution suggested. (Based on community posts, microsoft has been working on this problem since two years now, with no published solution. Please recommend a workaround to the community instead. A lot of organizations are using R scripts and it is an important feature)

Power BI is experiencing a problem with starting WebView2 due to code-integrity issues. This is normally due to anti-virus or some other software on the device interfering with Webview2. To verify this problem, add WEBVIEW2_ADDITIONAL_BROWSER_ARGUMENTS to the User environment variables and set the value to "--disable-features=RendererCodeIntegrity" and try running desktop. If it works, then you have a code injection problem. Delete the Environment Variable you have set above and disable any software that might be interfering or provide an exemption for the WebView2 process. In order to identify what is interfering with WebView2, we would need your help to get some information from your device. Known softwares which cause code-injection problems in WebView: Symantec Endpoint Protection PC Matic Print Audit Palo Alto Traps For Symantec, please update to version 14.3 or above. This appears to be a bug in the DAX generated by Smart Narratives (within a text box). Measure displays properly when in a Card visual, but not in Smart Narrative. See minimally-reproduced sample .pbix attached. I have an issue while using the mobile Power BI app with Page Background images. When viewing a report with background images on the mobile app, everything is shifted around and misaligned. I have experienced this issue using all three of the image fit types (Normal, Fit, and Fill) and I've also tried background images with different resolutions as well. For some background info, my users are almost exclusively mobile users. Trying to design the report using the Phone Layout option will not work due to the limited options available (no bookmarks or button functionality). My users will also need to be able to view this report in landscape which isn't possible in the Phone Layout editor. I have experienced this shifting image issue on both Apple and Android products though most of my users are using Apple products. Does anyone know how to get Page Background images to line up the same way on the Power BI Service and Power BI mobile app? What the main report page looks like on the Power BI service: For reference, all design elements - like the drop-shadow rectangles - are from the background image. What this same page looks like on the mobile app: As you can see, all the visuals are misaligned with the background image. What's even more puzzling is that the shifting is different almost every time I open the report. On rare occassions it's perfectly aligned so I have no idea what's causing it to change each time.

Hi, When using the 'Area chart' vis with multiple values plotted, the 'Apply settings to' > 'Customize series' feature doesn't appear to work as intended for the 'Shade area' option. Whilst I am able to select an option from the 'Series' dropdown, adjusting the 'Area transparency' slider scale within 'Shade area' applies this formatting to all lines - not just the series that I have selected. However, if I apply the same principle within the 'Data labels' formatting, for example, it only applies changes for the 'Series' option that I have selected, which is what I would expect to happen. In terms of area shading, I am using a workaround in the form of the 'Line and stacked column chart' vis - for which the 'Customize series' feature does work correctly.

Hello everyone, I have setup four datasets with schedueled refreshes (each once a day on different times). The first few days they all work well and all of a sudden they fail without any reason: Manual refreshes in the power BI portal succeed (sometimes also the schedueld refresh the next day) but then the refreshes fail again I had a MS consultant looking at it but his advices (recreate the DB connection and reconfigure the refreshes) did not resolve the problems on a long term. Here also some of the most important information about the circumstances: Is the data source in Azure or on premises with gateway? It is an Azure SQL database for three data sets (alwas the same db) and once an application insigts of an azure web app. Is the problem only with one data source? No, besides the 3 error messages for datasets based on this Azure SQL DB, the same error message occurred in parallel for a data source based on Applications Insights. Has the problem occurred several days in a row or by chance? The first time and also now the initial error message occurs randomly. The error repeats itself with every refresh until the Scheduled Refresh is disabled by the system. When I reactivate it, it works for some days (a week?) and then fails again. Does the problem always occur on certain days? As mentioned above, on each refresh, once the error occurred. If you then restart the refresh manually, does it work? The manual refresh works and sometimes the scheduled refresh works the next day, but then it fails again. Here you can see the history of one dataset: One more hint: It doesn't seem to depend on the number of refresh runs, but on the duration: I restarted the Scheduled Refreshs for all 4 datasets on 29.11. One refresh ran twice a day and all others only once. All 4 datasets started to throw error messages on the 4.12. If there is anyone who can help with that problem, I would be very glad. BUG: Text box font size is not the same as other Font sizes. For example, the below represents two visual elements overlaid. In red is a Multi-Row card with one field. The Card Title format option has a text size set at 20, and a font family of "Segoe UI Light". In black is a text box (with the same word for easy comparison), and that is also text size of 20 and font family of "Segoe UI Light". Same specifications, different sizes. I want the two elements to be of the same size, but I don't want to have to GUESS or EXPERIMENT with font sizes to see what makes them the same. Same font family and same size should render the same on the screen.

As I described in this StackOverflow question, I'm having issues with my date slicer reformatting my date upon opening my .pbix file (ditto for loading it on powerbi.com). The format shown in the box should match the format I've chosen for that column, not whatever format it thinks I want. If I click on one of the boxes after opening the file it's fine. Sometimes doing that and then resaving the file fixes it temporarily, but I can't seem to resolve it consistently. Here's a .pbix file that demonstrates the behavior: TinyUpload Link

Hi I really like the new conditional formatting options to change the colours of shapes and font - but I think there my be a bug. Whenever I enter the conditional formatting rules, click ok and then go back into them they will change. So far this doesn't seem to be affecting performance but it is strange. An example is below: These are the rules I enter... This is what it looks like after I've clicked ok and gone back in... Hope you can shed some light on this. Thanks Chris
