While data mart support connecting to Dataflow, the connection seems to be override each time new query is added and the connection is set as unique within the datamart. I wonder how this configuration be helpful if users want to pull data from multiple diffrent sources and adding some Dimension dataflow to finalize it as a dataset as the output at other end of Datamart? Can this be changed to allow connection saved by various datasource within datamart?

Hello Team, This is Harsh Dabav from Ahmedabad, India. I would like to share that there is bug in line chart as mentioned below. Let us consider there are 3 lines in line chart. 1 line is mapped with Primary Y axis and other two lines mapped with secondary Y axis. We are able to set data colour for each lines as per our need. But, we are not able to set marker colour with same with line colour which those mapped in secondary Y axis, It is taking only first line colour. There is cutomize series option is available but it's is not working properly for secondary Y axis. Yes, defenitely we are able to with same exercise with Primary axis by customize series option. So request to update and allow this feature in secondary axis of line chart in next release. Please feel free to reach me in case of any query. Whenever the visual is a table that has many entries I'm not able to scroll with the mouse wheel or the keyboard on Firefox. I'm currently using Firefox Quantum 62.0.3 (64-bit) and the version of Power BI Javascript client is 2.6.5 (also tested 2.5.0 and 2.4.7). I would also like to show the scrollbar (which is not shown) whenever there are more records on the table than can be shown on the iframe.

I try to get my table from my dataset in Bigquery into Power BI Desktop. When you choose to print a dashboard, the printer shows two pages to print (dashboards should print on one page only). On Friday 22 May, the second page was a replica of the first, save for some formatting issues. As of now, the dashboard is not showing the whole page (cutting off some of the left side). Screenshot of a dashboard: Screenshot of the Print Dashboard screen: It does not make a difference if you choose an actual printer or print to PDF. The situation was tolerable on Friday where we just chose to print page 1, however it is not tolerable to have a print function that doesn't print correctly.

I've created two columns using DAX formulas on Power BI Desktop, one is to calculate the number of days until a date listed in a separate column (using =[DATE]-today()) and the other is to return 1 or 0 depending on if there's 21 days until the listed date (using an IF function). The purpose is to be able to send an email alert when it's 3 weeks from the date listed. I think that I can do that with a card set to the max of the column returning 1 or 0 and send a Power BI alert for that card and use Microsoft Flow to send an email then. However, I can't get the column's formulas to update on ther Power BI Service. It updates fine each day (the "days until" steadily decreasing) in Power BI Desktop, but the number is frozen on the day I uploaded the report and dataset online. Even when I manually publish the report/dataset again from Power BI Desktop, the numbers don't update. How do I get the today() function, or any of the functions in the columns, to update on their own? Or is there a way I can schedule desktop to publish the report (if it will update the numbers) every day? If anyone has any better suggestions for how I can schedule an email alert to certain people 3 weeks from a listed date, that would also be very helpful!

I changed the visibility of a field in a datamart and the datamart froze showing the overlay with the Power Bi icon in center of screen. No matter what workspace or any page in the Power BI service I go to after this the overlay and icon stays. However if I close out the tab and reopen a tab I can go use Power Bi service like normal until I return to that particular datamart and the overlay and the icon appears and will not go away unless i navigate away from Power BI.

When using Power BI desktop, the first "explain by" field of the decomposition tree doesn't show (as should be the case, as no fields are "locked"). When accessing through Power BI online, or publishing to web, the embedded Power BI is erroneously showing the first "explain by" field categories, without any highlight. This makes it seem like a category has been selected, when in fact it hasn't and is confusing for users of the interface.

Hi, I am trying to use the mailchimp connector but can not get any further than the signin. When clicking signin I get a javascript error Error: Expected "." Url: "https://login.mailchimp.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=xxx&response_type=code&redirect_url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.powerbi.com%2Fviews%" And although I can continue running scripts and the login popup shows, after entering I will get another javascript error and the login hangs indefinitely. Error: 'ga' is undefined URL: https://login.mailchimp.com/release/1.1.100e96b5d7cab152f3061ec0cb4498a4b33d5275/js/dojo/mccommon.js I have been in contact with mailchimp, but they can't see anything special in the loginprocess that would cause this on their side. It obviously has something to do with how the loginpage is shown/used inside the PowerBI client but how can I get passed this? Has anybody had this issue before? All help is greatly appreciated!

Hello. I then save it and open the document back up and the layers have disappeared - both the infographics and the reference layer. It simply reverts. I had a similar problem where the colors of the coordinates were not saving, but now it's an issue with the layers. I have tried everything - changing the symbol size, turning the layers on and off, and nothing seems to work. Am I missing something obvious? Is there a save button somewhere, ha?? Hi All...I am pro user and all reports published in Powerbi service was working fine till morning. All of a sudden report and buttons functionalities are not working in powerbi service. Issue to be resolved immediately .Unable to edit report in powrbi service also.

I'm attempting to use the Direct Query preview feature that allows adding additional tables to an exsiting dataset and relating them. When I connect a new table to an existing table the report works fine and allows me to build any kind of visualization without issue using any field from either dataset. However, when I filter the new table with a field from the existing table(s) (there is a 1 to many relationship) I get the following error: Input query length exceeding the supported maximum length. RequestId: TDS;db6d47a3-32a9-42db-b34a-47b6efdc129e;2 Time: 2021-04-26T17:37:51.5467482Z. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Existing Dataset: Account List - 180K rows - Azure SQL New Table: List of Opportunties - 300 rows - Dynamics365 This seems like a limitation in how the Direct Query is pulling the existing dataset. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm getting the following error when trying to connect to a Power BI Dataflow in Power Query on Power BI Desktop. The issue started last week after having this dataflow connection work properly before April 22nd. DataSource.Error: The remote name could not be resolved: 'api.powerbi.com' Details: https://api.powerbi.com/powerbi/globalservice/v201606/clusterdetails Not much can be gleaned from this error message aside from the link, which doesn't go anywhere. I think this may have something to do with the overall errors happening over the last 5 days through Power BI and Power Platform Dataflows connectors. Any help will be appreciated.

Every time I try to connect to a MySQL database, I'm met with a pop up that directs me to download and install MySQL 8.0.29. I have already downloaded and installed this version, but I'm still met with the same pop up. I have also restarted my computer.

Hi, I've been experiencing the following error after updating Desktop to last version and uploading reports that use Adobe Analytics connector. Underlying error code: -2147467259 Underlying error message: We are unable to obtain necessary information for using your Adobe Analytics account with PowerBI. This is likely a result of your account not being set up properly. Please contact Adobe for help setting up your account and then try again. DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingHResult: -2147467259 Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.Reason: Expression.Error Reports that haven't been modified and re uploaded to the service are still updating correctly, I've tried modifying the Permissions to differente values but none got it to work. The gateway is updated as well to latest version: 3000.77.7 (March2021 (Release 2))
