Hello Recently we have been receiving frequent failures on datasets, the most frequent error is a schedule refresh specifically to the source Teradata. The gateways are connected successfully using a service account. For the Teradata error, the Teradata DBA says issue is not from a Teradata aspect. We have logged into Teradata with the service account and have intermittent issues doing so, ultimately able to log in successfully. The 2nd error is for a SQL server which has started popping up more frequently... These are the 2 errors: Teradata Error: Refresh failed: __________ has failed to refresh. Failure details: The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error. This is usually a transient issue. I have various Dataflows that up until the last couple of days have refreshed without any issue or error, but suddenly I have the following error message coming up on all of the reports:   Error: Received error payload from gateway service with ID 2766693: The spooled operation id 2e8c8d50-0e06-4a86-81e5-d3204ad58434 does not exist. We have had issues refreshing a dataset after a column was added to an azure based SQL datasource environment table.  This dataset is able to successfully perform desktop refreshes with no issue in any table, but when published and refreshed in PBI service it results in failures.  The dataset does have incremental refresh implemented, credentials have been reset but also did not change since the issue occurred, nothing else changed within the dataset other than the source table column addition.   Error received in PBI web service:   Data source error: [Unable to combine data] Section1/... references other queries or steps, so it may not directly access a data source. Hello,   Despite quite the troubleshooting online, I have not found a solution to the issue I have.    I store and retrieve my data from my postgres server hosted on the same machine I make my reports on. To connect, I use the localhost IP-address and the port number would be 5432 in this case. This works fine through the Power BI Desktop app. However, since I want to setup a scheduled refresh, I have to configure a connection through the online environment as well.    I downloaded the standard gateway and that - seemingly - works well. I can connect my local excel files without any hassle. The issue starts when I want to configure my postgres database server. The following error shows up:   "Failed to update data source credentials: An error happened while reading data from the provider: 'No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it'"       Now I have tried turning off the firewall to see whether that was the issue; no luck there. I also checked my command prompt with the help of netstat -anb, which did show something that I thought might be the issue:     postgres seems to be listening on a different port than the one initialized in the configuration files and the port that it should be on, is occupied by a different program. However, Power BI Desktop can still connect to the database without any issue and svchost.exe seems to just be Windows' way of handling things on the back-end.    I have also granted access to other IP-addresses through the configuration files in my postgres folder hoping that that would help, but nothing seems to.    Anyone who might be able to assist me?  ... Since yesterday I'm having an issue connecting to an excel file in a Sharepoint folder. It was already working, but I made some changes and republished it. Refresh works fine in Power BI Desktop, but online. It seem it's trying to connect to a Sharepoint list, instead of folder. I have an other report connecting to an other excel file in the same folder and it works fine. Could this be connected to the issue in North Europe? I'm in that datacenter.   ... View more

Hi there, I'm getting errors in multiple workspaces for multiple reports - when refreshing any of the datasets I'm getting: "Unable to detect a gateway. Please verify the gateway is up and running and try again"   The underlying data sources are all cloud hosted (Azure SQL, Azure Data Explorer etc. etc.), and so don't require a gateway as indicated by the UI:   Is there a service side issue causing this error?   ... Hello Support, hope you guys can help with my issues:   1. When trying to connect to Sharepoint folder, it throws "we couldn't authenticate with the credentials provided". I tried clearing the global permissions, uninstalling and reinstalling (March 2023 version from Microsoft Store), changing the sign in to be directed to edge and chrome but this error still persists. Earlier this week I needed to make some changes in a dataflow which connect through the Web connector to the REST API of ServiceNow (returns in JSON format). Unfortunately I’m still unable to make the needed changes. In the editing mode in the PBI service I’m getting the following error:   All the credentials are stored in a on-premisis Gateway. Weirdly the dataflow still refreshes successful manually, scheduled and through a process in Power Automate. I removed and readded the credentials in the gateway and the same problem still occurred. Connecting in PBI Desktop using the same credentials that are stored in the Gateway works as well. Editing dataflows connected to other data sources does not give me this problem.   ... View more

This morning, dataflows sourced from an Azure SQL database failed to refresh. The error message was that SELECT permission was denied on the object <object> database <database> schema <schema>. When I navigated to the gateway data source, the authentication type was OAuth2. Previously, the authentication type was Basic. Something caused the authentication type to change to OAuth2. When I changed it back to Basic and re-entered credentials, it refreshed successfully.   This issue has been resolved, but I wanted to alert Microsoft and the community to this issue and solution. ... I've watched the following YouTube video, but I am not able to pass a multiple values to a parameter when querying Snowflake.   VIDEO LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4Frj8vG4as   I've ensured that I have set up the parameters correctly, and that I'm using the proper "?" symbols in place of the parameter name/values. I am able enter a single integer-type value in the field, and it will return values. But the moment I introduce a second integer value it doesn't work. I get a "ERROR [22018] Numeric value '9135969, 93392572' is not recognized" error message. The numbers that you see between the single quotes are a parameter name "distID", and below is how I've configured it for the dataset.   =Join(Parameters!distID.Value,", ")   I've also made sure that the distID parameter is set up to allow multiple values, and that it is an integer type. Hi support, need assistance with this error we have been seeing for the past few days in power bi service. One of our reports is not refreshing giving the following error:     This report gets data from dataflows and aws athena. It has a large dataset, we use incremental refresh, still it takes 1h or longer to refresh, usually. But it has never given issues like this before. We already tried refreshing credentials, uploading again to see if the new version worked... (it did not, same error). Please note that we have other reports that connect to the same data sources with the same data credentials/gateway and they have refreshed without any issues. I havea composet model developed by Power BI Desktop connecting to a data model then adding on 2 Excel files to the data model. So DirectQuerey via SQL Server Analysis Services.  Everything worked fine a week or twp ago. Then today i published from the desktop and my App did not work anymore. I received the error "There is no avaialbe gateway". I checked an the gateway is sill active. I then tried to build a new visual on the web instead of desktop. Those visuals no matter what data set i tired gave the error.
