Relative Date Slice - Show Last Month on the 1st when Include Today is set to No

I am using relative date slicer on one of our reports with "Include Today" set to "No" and the default value is show "This Month".

Today is the 1st and it's showing "This Month" = 7/1/2017-7/31/2017. I expected it to still say 6/1/2017-6/30/2017 since we are not including today.

Is this a bug?

@niccupp

I’ve reported it internally to Power BI Team: CRI 41570762
I’ll post here once I get any update about it.

@niccupp

I’ve got response from the Product Team.

This is by design. The include today works only for relative non calendar ranges [Last/Next non calendar periods].

For This and Last/Next Calendar [weeks/months/years], it is evaluated always with respect to the current date. Include today does not have any effect.

Is there some way that I can program the slicer to look at This Month unless today is the 1st of the month, then look at Last Month?
