Problem with German Umlauts äüöß in Filenames of Power BI Report Server

Hi,

 

I have an issue with downloading files from Power BI Report Server if filename contains german umlauts like ä ü ö ß.

Normally I can download .rdl or .xlsx files that have only english letters in filename.

This doesn't work for files with umlauts (see pics). The file will be downloaded as =_utf-8_B_VGVzdDIgd2l0aCDDpMO2w7zDny5yZGw=_= file without extention.

Power BI Report Server (October 2017).

I will appreciate if support team can fix it.

Hi @OlenaBaumgart,

 

Please update Power BI report server version to the latest one, then use the Chrome browser to work around the issue. 

 

Regarding the issue in IE, I'm keeping consulting it internally.
