Odata feed with $select statement

Hi,

Trying to get data from dynamics with an odata feed and selecting only one column at server.

The result includes all the columns from the source.

 Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

@ruimonteiro

I’ve reported it internally to Power BI Team: CRI 43822176
I’ll post here once I get any update about it.

As a workaround, you can use the "Choose Columns" function to keep the column you want.

Hi Herbert,

Thank you for your quick response.

Yes, I'm using for now the workaround as you suggested, although this restriction is done on client side with unnecessary column data transfered (although, and as i could understand, the unnecessary columns are filled with null at server side).

@ruimonteiro

I’ve got response from the Product Team.

This is a known and longstanding issue which is being tracked. We're hoping to be able to address it before the end of the year but aren't making any promises.

Best Regards,
Herbert
