Interrogate Errors: Failed to locate XX Features - Yellow error warning bar

Image link: http://imgur.com/HqCky3f

Hello,

I have pasted a link to the image above, I could not embed it for some reason.

I am pretty new to PowerBI, so be nice. I have loaded some geographical data against the UK using a postcode file on a map.

I get a yellow warning error bar at the bottom of the ESRI/ ARCGIS map that tells me: "Failed to Locate 23 Features".

I cannot work out how to interrogate, review or fix these 'features'.

It would be really helpful if error reporting was able to be scrutinised a lot more clearly for a novice like myself.

Any comments and support would be welcome.

Many thanks,

AJ

The image in the pasted link is broken, could you please have a check on it?

Please re-classify the issue.

@AJ

When you get "Failed to locate N features" it means N locations you specified were not geocoded and therefore are not shown on the map.

Hi @v-haibl-msft,

Thanks for your reply.

I guessed that was the case, however, how do I find out what they are?

The main point of my post, is that they are impossible to interrogate? What use is it warning me they are not geocoded, if I cannot find out which ones they are and how to fix them?

I would welcome your view on the matter.

Many thanks,

AJ

@AJ

It seems that we do not have a quick way to find out the ones.

If you have latitude and longitude used in the ArcGis map, you can try to round them to 2 decimal places. Also remove the fields from the ArcGis map visual and then add them back to see if it helps.

Please make sure you are using the latest June 2017 version of Power BI Desktop, and have set data category correctly for fields like country and city.

Best Regards,
Herbert

Hi @v-haibl-msft

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, I am not using LAT and LON, I am using postcode bricks, (start of postcodes).

It would be really good to be able to understand what exactly is failing. Do you think this could be a requirement to take forwards?

Many thanks,

AJ
