Incorrect cross-filter behavior with visual that use TopN functionality

This issue is reproduced both on PBI Service and PBI Desktop (January 2018 version).
The issue is not reproduced on PBI Desktop November 2017 version.

For instance, we have 3 visuals:
1) "Hours by employes" (FactHours, DimEmployee)
2) "Top 10 Employees" (FactPaycheck, DimEmployee)
3) "Total sum of paycheck" (FactPaycheck)

(1)->(2) - cross-filtering
(2)->(3) - cross-filtering

Steps to reproduce:
1) select some employee on "Hours by employes"  that is not displayed "Top 10 Employees"
2) pay attention on "Top 10 Employees" visual: needed employee is displayed (only one)
3) select this employee on "Top 10 Employees" visual

=>

Expected: cross-filtering is reset (this behavior was in November release)
Actual: disjoint set appears and all visuals are blank

Hi @Anonymous,

Did those three columns FactHours, DimEmployee, FactPaycheck come from three different tables? Did you set Top 10 Employees by TOPN filter in visual level filter?

I'm not able to reproduce the issue in January Power BI desktop on my side. Would you please please share a pbix file with us? If it contains sensitive data, you can upload to your OneDrive and send link to me in private message.

Best Regards,
