Export PowerPoint Blank Slides Problem

Hello,

 

I tried to export to PowerPoint but it created blank slides. I can export to PowerPoint by using existing examples created by Power BI itself. However, for my own report, I could not export.

Thank you @Muhammad_Shahza! Hopefully the next release will fix this bug but this workaround fixes it for now.

guys, can you please explain how youve managed to work around it? what do you mean "edit mode" and changed the page view?

I ve managed to get around the problem following @Muhammad_Shahza 's suggestion.

 

it is now just an annoyance but I geuess it'd be sorted out soo (or even if it isn't, it is not a big problem anymore)

TonyaRobbins, There is a way around to resolve this issue:

  1. Open the report in power Bi service
  2. Hit "Edit report" menu button at top
  3. Select the "Fit to Page" option from View menu
  4. File --> save the report.

 

Now export should not give you blank power point slides. I suspect it re-renders the report when we change and save in power bi service which fixes the issue.

Hoping Power bi team will fix it soon as seems like deployment issue, if it is power bi desktop problem we might need to wait for April release.

I had been receiving the blank slides as well. Now I receive an "Unable to export to PowerPoint" message:
