Error exporting to PowerPoint

I have a 14 page report in PowerBI that I need to export to PowerPoint. I have tried multiple times (on different days at various times) and continue to receive an error after PowerBI attempts for a few minutes to export. Closing and reopening my browser, clearing the browser cache, and even restarting my computer have not been effective.

 

I am getting the following error text:

 

Unable to export to PowerPoint
 
We couldn't export your report to a PowerPoint file
Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details.

Does you report contain shape map visual? If yes, there is an existing issue which mentioned in this thread.

And now this issue has been fixed today.

 

If your issue persists, could you please provide your PBIX file to us? I'd like to have a try on my side.

The report does not contain any Shape Map visuals.

 

I cannot provide the PBIX as it contains confidential information. The report contains a combination of slicers, column charts, stacked column charts, stacked column/line charts, and cards.

If issue is resolved, you can share the solution here later to help others who have the same problem.

This is an annoyingly persistent problem! Printing to PowerPoint seems to be a completely hit-or-miss proposition. Today, I tried to print two reports to PP. They were identical except for the sort order of the data. The first one printing fine. The second failed with this message: Unable to export to PowerPoint We couldn't export your report to a PowerPoint file Please try again later or contact support.
