Please Check your gateway. It may not be online.

How to check gateway

  1. Click on setting (Top right )
  2. Select Manage Gateeays
  3. Check if your gateway is online.

Thanks VP

I never ever in 6 months required a gateway since this was a directquery to the SQL Azure DB

Azure PaaS does not (or did not ) require a gateway.

MS have removed such connectivity it seems!

Hi @Camerica,

Based on my test, the Azure SQL data doesn't require any gateway to refresh on Power BI service.

In your scenario, is this report created by yourself or shared by other user? Please let dataset owner go to the dataset settings, verify credential is correct.

I will check if I am the owner of the dataset or it is shared and will do as you explain. I will revert shortly re the results
