Can't refresh any datasets on BI online service

Status: Delivered

Yesterday, all my datasets were refreshing just fine but today nothing happens.

- The automatic refresh hasn't done anything.

- When I press "Refresh now", I get a "popup" saying "preparing refresh" for a split second and then nothing happens.

The only way to update the data is to refresh the Desktop version and then upload it.

I have datasets connection to an on-premises database and one connecting to a sharepoint site.

- The on-premises connection usually works perfect, but now nothing happens.

- The sharepoint connection usually brings up an error,  if I try to refresh, but now nothing happens (I just tried it this time as a test, as it usually doesn't work automatically).

Can you please help troublefinding - It seems like an issue on you online portal somehow.

Thanks in advance.

I'm getting a similar problem. I manually upload a dataset csv file every week to the app service and yesterday it said "Last refresh failed" and the file uploaded empty. I tried to reload it but nothing changes. I can load the file if I change its name so it's probably not a problem with the file itself but if I do that obviously the graphics linked to the dataset don't update. This is the only detail that the failed refresh gives me Cluster URI: WABI-EUROPE-NORTH-B-redirect.analysis.windows.net Activity ID: 25339344-39b8-9439-362b-4e50bcc8249a Request ID: bf424a25-824c-da58-2ba1-34ae94145a79 Time: 2017-02-28 08:42:41Z

Facing a similar issue here

Published a dataset with 6 OData sources connecting to Project Online. All the Pro users (part of a Power BI group) were able to refresh the dataset without any issues but after making a slight modification and republishing broke it. Works fine for another dataset

I'm having a similar issue. I'm connected to my companies VSO account, but around the date of the OP it stopped pulling data correctly. Although it does say refreshes are successful. I tried reconnecting to VSO but it pulls the same data as before.

Specifically, I'm trying to pull Sprint data, such as numbers of remaining hours in a Sprint etc. but it is only pulling data for Work Items in a "removed" state. It won't pull anything in any other state.

To see all of the data that was being pulled I created a report filtered only by User Story name (no iteration, area path, created date etc.), and although we have around 30k stories in our VSO, it is only pulling around 100.

I have snapshots of reports I pulled before this happened, and now after this the same reports are showing (Blank).

My issue is similar but when restarting the Personal Gateway i'm getting an error.

GWConf has stopped working.

This is obviously having a knock on for me updating any online datasets.
