I have a report that uses Active Directory as its data source. Ideally I would like to schedule a refresh of the data. It seems there is no way to set up AD as a datasource to schedule against. Is this correct? Is a automated data refresh for AD sourced data on the roadmap?
Thanks,
Sid
Is there any Update to with Issue?
We also try to set up a schedule refresh with Active Directory sources over on premise or without but we cant.

Kind Regards and thanks in advanced
I second this disappointing discovery - having sold Power BI to our Active Directory owners at an enterprise I currently work at, to find we can only refresh manually from PBI Desktop/Personal gateway is a bit of a non-starter, looks like we won't be going very far beyond our trial for now. I also have an enterprise gateway established, SQL connection on a scheduled refresh works a treat, adding a second data source for AD does not permit a scheduled refresh (data sources match, permissions are fine etc).
What is most concerning is that I'm finding articles as far back as 2015/2016 citing this gap - significant time has passed and no feature improvements in this space, despite new visuals monthly. Where is the focus?
If anyone reads this and if I can help in any way please reach out - this is the first time posting to this community and I'm keen to assist if I can. It's unusual that Active Directory is an allowed data source in the On-premise gateway..... but doesn't work, go figure.

@sidsiegel AD data source refresh isn't supported currently i think but you can submit it as an idea. When you look at here AD isn't included and so I would assume data refresh isn't possible but I haven't tested this out.
