Power BI & SSRS 2016(On-Premises) : Need to install gateway for Power BI Desktop ?

As topic, if the data are located on premises with using Power BI desktop as front-end tools, then any necessary for user to install the Power BI gateway to retrieve the on-premises data ?

Hi @andykmwong,

Gateway is not required when you publish Power BI reports to on-premises SQL Server Reporting Services. Please review the following articles about how to combine Power BI and SSRS.
