OLE DB or ODBC : DataFormat.Error We couldnt convert to Number

I am connecting 2 source of datasets, 1 from Salesforce Report and 1 from Excel.

Other of my Power BI files when connected to Salesforce the Fiscal Year is in Text format, however this one partifcular Power BI file is pulling Fiscal Year in number format. Can anyone advise the reason behind ?

But, when I run Power Query and design the schema relationship this error prompted out : OLE DB or ODBC : DataFormat.Error We couldnt convert to Number

I practice the same steps for other Power BI files and they seem to work.

Appreciate any expert help

I've managed to solved it by removing my initial changed of for date data type from number to text.

I removed it and the original data type for date is back to number.

Then it works fine!

@Anonymous,

Does your Fiscal Year column contain any text values? For example, there are spaces during the fiscal year values, if so, Power BI can't convert the column to number format.

In addition, could you please describe more details about" design the schema relationship "? Do you change data type of your column and does the error point any problem value?

Regards,
Lydia
